Mt. Hibok-Hibok, Camiguin Island |
Nature has its own beauty and uniqueness. I can't help myself but awed when I saw what our Mother nature can offered. Just like the island of Camiguin where it's 386.9 km away from Davao City or 8 hours or over via Buda National Highway. As we arrived at the place itself, we felt so exhausted and stressed because of the long travel. I already forgot the name of the hotel we've stayed there because it's 3 years ago, btw. HAHA! To revive our energy, our tour guide told us to go to Ardent spring and soaked our body on it to made us felt relaxed.
The next day, we went to White Island wherein it is located just at the back of the hotel where we've stayed. The island appeared when it is low tide and will be gone when it is high tide. There were also some vendors there who sells foods for the visitors but to make sure that you'll have something to eat when you were on the island, bring some extra foods because there were no stores available on the island and you'll have to rode a boat to get some. The beautiful island also introduces the very famous mountain lies on the body of Camiguin, the Mt. Hibok-Hibok (see the very first picture).
At the same day also, we went to the Old Church Ruins which is also one of the tourist attraction located at Bonbon, Catarman, Camiguin. You'll be amazed on how it is possible to stand its foundation after all the years had passed.
We went also to the famous Sunken Cemetery where it is believed that the remains underwater where the locals of the place.
Located also in Camuguin, at the foot of Mt. Timpoong, Barangay Upper Pandan, is the very beautiful and unspoiled creation of the island, the Katibawasan Falls. Not only the tourists on different places were amazed on this creation but also the locals of the place itself who were there enjoying the cold ambiance it offers.
After enjoying some of the attractions of the island, we went to J & A Fishpen Resort and Restaurant where we have our lunch. They have this very big "punong" or fishpond and you'll see there some very big and alive fishes who swims freely. The food that you were going to order were those fishes in the pond.
After having our lunch, we went to the Giant Clams Ocean Nursery where I saw the very big and preserved clams of the island. Before you enter to the nursery of giant clams, they'll first ask you if you are going to dive into the ocean to have a face to face experience with the clams or just walk around the place to see the clams they preserve. We chose to just walk around because we don't have much time on that moment.
Mother nature has so many things to offer as long as we, people will respect her creations the way she respects us as humans.
